Ahyoka Saas is a Two-Spirit Tsalagi-German storyteller. A graduate of the Harold Ramis Film School, they’ve written and directed five sketch revues at The Second City Chicago, penned the book Koalas And Other Funny Short Stories, and composed the score to the Sundance premiered short film Headdress (dir. Tai Leclaire)

Ahyoka is an alum of the Native American Media Alliance’s Animation Lab and TV Writers Lab, and the recipient of a $10,000 Netflix development grant. Their upcoming work includes the superhero one-shot comic Hollyweird Heroes, the Indigenous folk-horror comic series Familiar Faces, and the fantasy comedy comic series The Tale of Butt.

Glam goth composer & musician

Ahyoka has played in blues-funk bands, is a founding member of Chicago musical comedy collective Good Ass Group, and has composed instrumentals for musical comedy influencers with over twenty million views on TikTok. They composed the score to the short film Headdress, directed by Taietsarón:sere ‘Tai’ Leclaire, which premiered at the '23 Sundance Film Festival.
